Project Record

Programmes delivered across Gujarat's distribution network.

Underground conversion under the RDSS programme, RMU and DTR infrastructure, substation commissioning and utility shifting — executed directly and as a channel partner to national EPC contractors.

Programme Work

Selected projects in detail

Each of these was delivered on live distribution infrastructure, under utility approval, with public access and existing supply maintained throughout.

Overhead-to-underground conversion, Bopal

Conversion of 11kV overhead distribution to underground cable across the Bopal area of Ahmedabad under the Revamped Distribution Sector Scheme, executed as a channel partner to L&T Construction. The scope covered the civil groundwork, the cable route and the switchgear infrastructure that replaced the overhead network.

Location
Bopal, Ahmedabad
Scope
OH-to-UG conversion, RMU & DTR foundations
  • Over 90 RMU foundations and 50 DTR foundations cast to utility-approved drawings around the 66kV substation feed.
  • Route survey and underground utility detection ahead of excavation in a dense residential and commercial area.
  • Trenching, ducting and multi-core HT cable laying, with roads and footpaths reinstated on completion.
  • Sequenced to keep existing supply live, with changeover and energisation carried out under utility permit.

Overhead-to-underground conversion, Sanand

Underground network conversion across the Sanand industrial belt, delivered under Rajesh Power Services Ltd. Sanand carries heavy industrial load, so the programme was planned around minimising outage exposure to manufacturing units on the affected feeders.

Location
Sanand, Ahmedabad
Scope
RMU/DTR infrastructure, UG cabling
  • RMU and DTR foundation execution with cable entry, duct sleeves and earthing pits set at the casting stage.
  • HT cable laying along industrial access roads, with trenchless crossings where carriageways could not be cut.
  • Jointing and termination by qualified jointers, with joint locations recorded for future fault tracing.
  • Pre-energisation insulation and high-voltage testing, with records issued to the licensee before charging.

Utility Shifting · GSRDC

Electrical utility shifting for road development

Relocation and safe dismantling of electrical utility infrastructure obstructing road widening works for the Gujarat State Road Development Corporation, delivered through multiple channel partners. Utility shifting sits on the critical path of a road programme — the civil contractor cannot proceed until the line is clear.

Location
Gujarat — multiple corridors
Scope
Utility shifting, dismantling, reinstatement
  • Survey and identification of affected HT, LT and service lines along the proposed road alignment.
  • Shifting of poles, lines, transformers and associated equipment clear of the construction corridor.
  • Safe dismantling and recovery of redundant infrastructure, with material returned to the utility store.
  • Coordination with the utility and the road contractor to release each stretch on the programme date.

Industrial & Commercial

LT panel installation & internal distribution

Panel board erection and internal electrical distribution for industrial and commercial premises — the low-tension side of the network, where switchgear meets the building. Work is carried out inside operating facilities, so sequencing around production and occupancy is part of the scope.

Client Type
Industrial & commercial
Scope
LT panels, MCC, distribution
Location
Ahmedabad & north Gujarat
Delivery
Direct execution
  • LT panel board erection, alignment and busbar termination to approved single-line diagrams.
  • Cable tray and containment routing, feeder cabling, glanding and ferruling to panel schedules.
  • MCC and control panel installation with control wiring and interlock verification.
  • Pre-commissioning checks, insulation testing and phase verification before load transfer.
Technical Method

How the work is actually executed

The recurring engineering tasks that sit inside every conversion and commissioning programme we run.

Route survey & utility detection

Before excavation the route is walked and scanned with electromagnetic utility locators to map existing water, gas, telecom and power services. Detected services are marked, and where a conflict exists the alignment is revised or the crossing redesigned as a trenchless bore.

Trenching, bedding & ducting

Trenches are cut to the depth and width specified for the voltage class, bedded with screened sand, and cables laid with correct spacing and bending radius. Protective covers and warning tape go in before backfill, which is compacted in layers to prevent later settlement.

HDD & trenchless crossings

Carriageways, drains and rail-side land are crossed by horizontal directional drilling with our own rigs — a pilot bore is steered to the exit pit, reamed to size, and the duct bundle pulled through, avoiding road cutting and the reinstatement liability that follows it.

RMU & DTR foundations

Plinths are cast to utility-approved drawings with cable entry provision, duct sleeves and earthing pits set into the pour. Level and orientation are verified before switchgear or transformer placement, because a foundation error becomes a termination problem later.

Jointing & termination

HT straight-through joints and terminations are made by qualified jointers using manufacturer-approved kits under controlled cleanliness. Every joint is recorded with location, kit batch and jointer identity, so a future fault can be traced back to a known point.

Testing & energisation

Before charging, cables undergo insulation resistance and high-voltage withstand testing, earthing systems are measured, and protection relay settings are verified against the coordination study. Energisation proceeds only on a cleared permit with signed-off test records.
